How to transfer an incoming call?

Accept an incoming call and click on "Add call".


Then enter a phone number or speed dial and press Enter or green handset to start the transfer process. The chosen number will start ringing and the original caller will hear the CLINQ on hold music.


Cold Transfer: As the destination number is ringing, you can press "Transfer & Leave" to leave the call and connect the original caller to the "ringing" destination number

Warm Transfer: When the transfer destination number accepts the call, You communicate with the destination number letting them know that you have a call for them, and then connect the transfer by clicking "Tranfer & Leave".



After clicking the "Transfer & Leave" button, your part of the call is hung up and the caller is connected to the destination number. You will see a short confirmation.



Exception/s

You can use key codes via the keypad if the provider supports it.

for sipgate: you can use transfer via keypad + *3call number# differently (shortcuts in German)


iPhone / iOS

How to transfer an incoming call? 

Accept an incoming call and click on "Add call".


Then enter a name from the contacts or a phone number in the search bar and select it.

 

  • CLINQ now calls the new number while the original caller is on hold. The original caller hears on hold music. When the destination number accepts the call, you can briefly tell the destination party that you have a call for them. 
  • You can switch between the calls by clicking on the held call (gray).
  • To connect the called participants now simply click the button "Connect and leave".
